I can’t thank all of you enough for all of your prayers and support! It means so much to me! Yesterday went SO WELL! Way better than expected. I feel like I was nervous for nothing.
It was a rainy stormy morning, and because of traffic we decided to leave early and give ourselves lots of time. We arrived at the clinic 45 mins before the appointment time – and sat in our car and chatted and prayed and waited for time to pass. When we went inside, they took us to the prep room right away. I changed into a gown, and K had to wear a hairnet and mask. (we took some pretty funny pics)
Then we went into the procedure room and waited and waited and waited! (remember this is a full bladder procedure – VERY uncomfortable) Finally the embryologist came in and told us that of the 5 embryos 2 are still really strong, and the other 3 were just okay. He recommended that we put two in – which is what we decided we wanted to do anyway. The other 3 will be frozen, and we will use them in the future.
The procedure actually went really fast – the coolest part was watching it all happen on the ultrasound screen. We could see the catheter go in, and then when the RE put the embryo’s in, we could see two little dots fly out of the tube.
And just like that – we were done.
I was scared to go to the bathroom and walk around after, even though they said it is perfectly fine – I didn’t want them to fall out.
Then we went back to the IVF waiting room (where they have very comfy lounge seats) and I just lounged and chatted with K.
The acupuncturist managed to fit me in for a short appointment – and then we drove home. K took the entire day off work, so we just relaxed and enjoyed the rest of the day.
His mom stopped in and brought us some Chili for dinner – and we had a little visit with her too. I love her so much!
It was a really fun day!
So now we wait. We are praying that both of these little embryos will implant and be healthy and live!

Glad everything went well. I hope your wait goes by quickly!
Woo Hoo! I'm so excited for you! Are you on bed rest or anything? That's so cool that you got to watch the whole procedure. Amazing!
Glad it went well. Praying for comfy wombs this fall!
